Collection: Shrimp Tank Plants
Live aquarium plants popular for shrimp tanks — carefully selected for their low-light tolerance, hardy nature, and the grazing surfaces, biofilm, and shelter they provide for shrimp colonies.
The plants in this collection are widely used in planted shrimp aquariums. Mosses like Java Moss and Christmas Moss develop the fine-textured biofilm surfaces that shrimp graze on continuously. Dense moss growth also gives shrimplets (baby shrimp) safe places to hide and forage during their most vulnerable early days. Anubias and Java Fern provide broad leaf surfaces shrimp rest and explore on. Cryptocoryne and Dwarf Sagittaria add mid-ground structure and help keep water parameters stable.
All plants in this collection are low-light tolerant and do not require CO2 injection — making them a natural fit for the gentle, stable conditions most shrimp prefer.
Note: We use careful language when describing shrimp compatibility. These are plants widely used and recommended in shrimp aquarium communities. We do not make blanket pesticide-free or copper-free claims.
