Beginner-friendly
Cryptocoryne undulata is an easy wavy-leaf rooted plant with green-to-bronze foliage. Its textured leaves give planted aquariums a natural, layered midground look.
It adapts well to a range of freshwater setups and does not require injected CO₂. Like other crypts, it benefits most from a stable root zone and patience after planting.
Care Notes
Remove the plant from its pot and gently rinse away most of the rock wool. Plant the roots in nutrient-rich substrate and keep the crown above the substrate.
Avoid frequent relocation while it establishes. If older leaves melt after shipping or replanting, leave healthy roots in place and allow the plant time to send up new leaves.

Common Questions
Cryptocoryne Undulata FAQ
Is Cryptocoryne Undulata safe for shrimp?+
Yes. It is a rooted freshwater plant suitable for planted shrimp and community aquariums.
How do I plant it?+
Plant the roots in the substrate and keep the crown—the point where the leaves emerge—above the substrate.
Where should I place it?+
Use it in the foreground to midground, depending on aquarium size and the look you want.
What is the free shipping threshold?+
Plants and dry goods ship free at $75+. Adding livestock to an order may change the applicable shipping service and threshold.
Does it need CO₂?+
