Pygmy Corydoras (Corydoras pygmaeus) are tiny social catfish that regularly swim in the lower-to-mid water column instead of staying only on the substrate. A proper group creates movement throughout the lower half of a planted aquarium.
They remain very small, prefer clean stable water, and do best with smooth substrate and appropriately sized foods.
Care Notes
Feed micro-sized sinking foods and keep the aquarium mature and stable. Pygmy Corydoras often use both the bottom and lower-to-mid water column.
Keep at least 8–10. Larger groups are more confident, visible, and active.
