Quick Answers

Why do fish require overnight shipping?
Fish are more sensitive to temperature fluctuation and oxygen depletion during transit than invertebrates. Overnight shipping minimizes time in the box, reducing stress and supporting a healthy arrival. This is standard practice in the live fish trade.
Are nano fish safe to keep with shrimp?
Many nano fish are compatible with adult shrimp — ember tetras, chili rasboras, and otocinclus are popular choices for shrimp tanks. That said, compatibility isn't guaranteed for every fish or every shrimp size. Juvenile shrimp are more vulnerable, and some fish will pick at them. Research each species before mixing.
What tank size do nano fish need?
Most of our nano fish do well in a 10-gallon or larger planted tank. Some species like corydoras and rasboras prefer groups of 6 or more, so plan your stocking around their schooling needs. Check individual product pages for specific recommendations.
What do I need before my fish arrive?
A fully cycled tank with stable parameters is essential. Have your heater, filter, and water conditioner ready before your order ships. On arrival, float the bag to temperature match, then acclimate slowly before release.
Do you carry fish for planted tanks specifically?
Yes — much of our selection is chosen with planted tanks in mind. Otocinclus are excellent algae grazers that won't disturb plants. Corydoras are peaceful bottom dwellers. Tetras and rasboras add mid-water movement without digging or uprooting.

About This Collection

Nano Fish

Nano fish bring life, movement, and personality to any aquarium — and the right species can turn a planted tank into something you could watch for hours. Our nano fish collection covers the most popular community fish for smaller aquariums: tetras, rasboras, corydoras, loaches, rainbowfish, plecos, and more. Most of these fish are at home in a well-planted tank with peaceful tank mates. Many species, including ember tetras, otocinclus, and corydoras, are regularly kept alongside adult shrimp without issue. That said, compatibility always depends on tank size, individual fish temperament, and the size of your shrimp — we recommend researching each species before mixing. All fish at Razz Aquatics ship via overnight shipping, which is required to minimize transit stress and support healthy arrivals. Every order is covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee and ships Monday through Thursday. Whether you're building a serene planted community or stocking a dedicated species tank, you'll find solid options here.
